Yes. reLocal is only available to homeowners who are selling or planning to sell. MLS-verified home sales add an extra layer of protection and confidence, helping items stand out from typical resale marketplaces and options.
reLocal takes a percentage-based commission on sold items to cover payment processing, platform maintenance, and buyer trust features. Exact rates are shared during onboarding. For homeowners that don't have an agent, there is a one-time setup fee.
Quality furniture, tasteful décor, and home goods tend to sell fastest. Think sofas, dining sets, bedroom furniture, rugs, lamps, and artwork. Avoid heavily worn items, outdated electronics, or anything you wouldn't feel confident selling to a neighbor.
You set your own prices. We provide suggested pricing based on condition, comparable sales, and local market data — but the final decision is yours. Most sellers find success pricing items at 20-40% of original retail value, depending on age and condition. You can always adjust pricing if items aren't getting interest.
Payments are processed after the buyer confirms pickup. Funds are typically transferred to your account within 2-3 business days. This protects both parties — buyers get their items, and sellers get paid once the transaction is complete.
